Questions worth answering first.
When does the free month start?
At first launch, not at a paywall. The month runs from the moment you install, so you set your targets and log your first days without ever meeting a price. The subscription sheet only appears once the month is up and you go to log again.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Gemel has no sign-in at all. Your subscription is tied to the Apple Account already signed in to the App Store, which is what makes restoring on a new device, using it across your devices, and Family Sharing all work without a login screen.
What happens if I stop paying?
You lose logging, not the app. Every screen stays readable — your days, your runs, your awards, your pairings. Nothing is deleted: your data lives in your own iCloud, so resubscribing later puts everything back exactly where it was.
Does the person I pair with have to subscribe?
They need their own subscription to log their own days — but an invite never opens on a price tag. Anyone who installs Gemel from your invite gets their own free month first.
Can I switch between monthly and annual?
Any time, in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Apple handles the proration; Gemel is not involved and does not need to be.
How do refunds work?
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple, so refunds are too — request one through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Gemel's developer cannot issue them directly, and never sees your payment details.
