The nutrition tracker that keeps you on target.
Quick to log. Easy to stay on pace. Simple to hit your targets.
For iPhone & Apple Watch
Tap and say what you ate
You don’t miss your goal. You quit logging.
Logging was a chore, and the verdict came at 9pm.
- Search a giant food database for every meal
- Add the meal up in a calculator first
- Tell you at 9pm that you went over
- Make you open the app and find the screen
- Track alone, or in a feed of strangers
- Your usual meal, one tap
- A pad that adds as you type
- Ahead or behind at 2pm, while you can fix it
- Log from the Lock Screen or your watch
- A streak with one friend, even with different goals
Catch it at 2pm, not 9pm.
A pace line climbs from the hour you wake. Light lunch? You see it now, with the whole evening left to fix it.
- 12:40pmA light lunch, logged with one tap. The chip says −90cal behind. Fine — dinner’s coming.
- 3:15pmA glance at your watch: protein’s behind. A yoghurt fixes it before it matters.
- 7:30pmDinner’s a big one, and you know exactly why.
- 9:40pmBoth bars capped. That’s a gemel, and the streak ticks over.
Cutting or building, your calorie number is a ceiling or a floor, and the words change to match.
Quick enough that you’ll keep doing it.
Gemel learns how you eat, so most meals are one tap and the rest are a few keys.
- Quick add learns your usual meals and puts the right one first for the time of day
- Type the calories and it offers the protein you usually have with it
- The pad adds as you type, with ½ and 2× portions
- Scan a label, or describe a meal
- Log from the Lock Screen, Control Center, Action button, watch or Siri
Don’t know the number? Describe the meal.
Write what you ate — two eggs, toast and a latte — and Gemel itemises it and estimates each one on your phone.
- Follow up in plain words — “three eggs, not two” — and it revises
- Works on every iPhone, in English. Apple Intelligence understands looser sentences.
Different goals. Same streak.
She’s cutting. You’re building. You share a streak, and see only whether the other hit their day, never their numbers.
- A second streak that continues only when you both hit
- An invite is a link. No accounts.
Hit both. That’s a gemel.
String them together for a streak. A streak on the line is a good reason to log dinner.
- Personal bests and awards, alone and with a friend
- A calendar of every day you logged
Never more than a glance away.

I tried the big trackers and quit every one. Logging a meal was too much work: a database to search, a calculator to add it up, screens to tap through.
So I built a Shortcut that logged my protein. My wife, on a cut, built one for calories. Both were slow and buggy, and neither of us wanted to track just one number.
What we wanted was the same two numbers, fast. Calories and protein matter for a cut and a bulk alike. Her calorie number is a ceiling, mine is a floor. Treat that one difference properly and two people with opposite goals are doing the same thing every day, and can keep each other at it.
Gemel is that: a log that takes seconds, a line that says where you stand right now, and a streak you keep together even when your goals point in opposite directions.
