In one paragraph
Gemel is the nutrition tracker that keeps you on target: quick to log, easy to stay on pace, simple to hit your targets. It tracks calories and protein on iPhone and Apple Watch, and logging takes seconds, which is what keeps people doing it. A meal is one tap on a usual amount, a number typed on the pad, a nutrition label scanned, or a sentence described, from the Lock Screen, Control Center, the watch or Siri. Gemel then paces the day: a line shows where you should be by now, so you know you're behind while there's still time to fix it. Pair with a friend to see each other's day and build streaks of gemels — days you hit both your calorie and protein targets. No account, no ads, no analytics. Food lookups and AI stay on the phone: Describe a meal estimates from USDA and Health Canada food data stored on the device, and on an iPhone with Apple Intelligence Apple's on-device model reads looser sentences.

Highlights
- Logging in seconds. Usual amounts are one tap, the pad adds as you type, and the same log sits on the Lock Screen, in Control Center, on the Action button, on the watch and in Siri. The faster a meal goes in, the more days get logged.
- However you know the meal. Type the number, scan a nutrition label, or describe it: a sentence like “two eggs, toast and a latte” becomes an itemised estimate from USDA and Health Canada food data on the phone. Estimates can be off, so it fills the pad for you to check and never logs on its own; what you write stays on the phone.
- Paced through your day. From the time you wake to your bedtime, so a slow morning shows up while you can still act on it.
- Pairs. See a friend's day beside yours and keep each other on target.
- A full Apple Watch app, with complications.
- Everywhere on the system: Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, Control Center controls, Siri, and Apple Health.
- Kilojoules as well as calories.
- Private by design: your data stays on your device and in your own iCloud.
